Monday 1/15/24 Journal Entry

With it being a holiday, the office and the university were closed today. I however got a message from my supervisor saying that I had approval to work from home if I wanted hours for the day. So, after I got done with the tasks I needed to do for the day, I logged onto the email from home. I do not have access to the phone at home, so I could not listen to the voicemails from over the weekend. We did not have very many emails due to it being a holiday. Most emails were inquiring about summer camp dates, transferring to camps, refunds, and when a confirmation would be sent out for the camps. When it came to inquiries about summer camp dates, it was mainly for gymnastics, wrestling, and football. We also had people inquiring about spirit club states for events and registrations for the women’s basketball game and the football spring game. We are still in the process of determining dates with the spirit director of operations. We also received some emails regarding what was to happen if camps were canceled or if they could not come due to weather. I gave them our policy and ensured they would not be penalized if they could not make it due to weather and would receive a refund for the camp. I also have to give information on how to request a refund due to conflicts in the camper's schedules or them being sick the day of a camp.
