Monday 2/26/24 Journal Entry

Since I had materials from the camp I worked from over the weekend, I brought them into the office and unpacked all necessary items. Once I had unpacked everything, I logged in and started checking the emails and listening to any voicemails that had been left from the weekend. I always check to see if there are any voicemail messages first as it is easier to reach people in the morning rather than during the day due to work hours. Once I was done writing down the information from the messages, I went through the emails. We had many emails in regard to camp dates and joining camps that had already been closed. Many people were inquiring about the spirit club and how to join due to the spring game performance that they host every year. The spirit club has been at capacity for a while now, and the spring game performance was not open to the public as the members are the first to sign up for the event. We have been also getting many inquiries about basketball camps for both men and women, but due to them being in season, it has been difficult to get dates finalized as both teams and the staff have been busy. We ensure that teams typically try to schedule within the same timeframe every year but dates within the timeframe fluctuate each year. Along with basketball camps, football camps have become very popular. Many people have been asking about special teams positions for the camp as the website stated that special teams will not receive any instruction really due to them moving away from that portion of the camp. Many people have expressed their frustration with it as they have been wanting to get their camper exposure to a college environment. I continued to monitor the emails and answer phone calls throughout the remainder of my shift.
