Today, I signed up to work at a women’s soccer camp at the Woody Hayes Indoor Facility. I was working with one other person today and was considered the lead for the camp as I was training the other person on how a check-in typically runs for camps. I first had to stop by the office and pick up the materials for the camp. When I arrived, I set up all the necessary items and went through all the waivers, pulling any red flags for the trainer. The women’s soccer team has a new director of operations, so it was her first camp, and asked me how it typically gets run. I gave her a general rundown and gave her options as to what she would like to do when it came to passing out jerseys and any other items to campers. Once we came up with a plan for how the camp check-in would run, I started to train the other interns on the check-in procedures. Everything went smoothly in the check-in process, we had a few running late to the camp but called to make sure they were still attending. Once they arrived, they got turned around as the Woody Hayes had multiple entrances. They were at the trophy room entrance for Woody Hayes, instead of the atrium entrance to the indoor facility. Once we got them checked in and got them their jerseys, we started to clean up the check-in area. We then asked if anything else was needed from us before we left for the day.
