As part of my position, I work registrations for camps within all of athletics. Today I worked a prospect camp for the baseball team. It was a fairly early camp, so I had to be there fairly early in order to set up. I was working with one of my supervisors, so I did not have to grab the box of materials from the office as she already had them. The rain had altered a lot of the camp's dynamics. We had to do check-in at the batting cages so campers and our materials stayed dry. The athletic trainer who was assigned to the camp had been stuck in traffic, so we had to start the check-in process without them. The head coach then checked to see if the indoor facilities had been open so they could use the facilities. He then had the campers move to the indoor facility so they could start camp. Once check-in was almost finished he then changed his mind and wanted the camp to be back outside at the baseball stadium. It was a lot of back and forth and problem-solving for a camp. It was a good experience as I gained the knowledge of what to do in those situations as I have not really experienced something like that at a camp so far.
