As part of my internship, one of my main responsibilities is to work check-ins at camps that are being held by teams within athletics. Today it was for a Synchronized Swimming Rising Star Clinic. Before starting check-in, there are a few things I need to do to make sure I am prepared. Before the camp, I go to the main office to pick up a box of supplies (this includes, tablecloths, medical waivers, credit card machines, extra medical waivers, parking information, and office supplies). Once I double-checked that I had everything I needed, I headed to where the camp was located, which was the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. Once I arrive, I check in with the coaching staff to acquire details of how they want the check-in to run along with the next steps for campers. After talking to the coaches, I spoke with the athletic trainer on-site about waivers and whether or not we do not have campers. From there I waited until the check-in time agreed upon rolled around and started the check-in process. Once everyone was checked in, I checked with the coach to see if she needed anything else from me or any questions regarding the camp. After I left the camp, I returned the materials to the office and checked in with my supervisors about the camp check-in.
