Sunday I worked an early morning lacrosse camp check-in. I had to report to the stadium by 7 a.m. in order to get tables set up and meet with the coaches and trainers. One of my supervisors was working the check-in as well so I did not have to grab the box from the office or prepare anything else. The camp was essentially a 6vs.6 tournament that was also a way for the staff to give instruction to the coaches and players. Once check-in was allowed to start, we had to check all participant's medical waivers at the time of check-in and give them a schedule or inform them where their first game would be. Since there is only one lacrosse field, they had to use the football practice fields as well. Many did not know their way around the campus so we gave them instructions on how to get there and the redcoats working the camp assisted as well. Towards the end of check-in time, we had to start looking at who had not checked in yet and what team they were on. Many were on teams that had already started games so we checked with the coaches to ensure that they were not with them. Once we narrowed down who had either missed check-in or was not on the roster, we started calling the remaining campers. Some of the campers had their division canceled or were told that they did not have a team for the camp. My supervisor left early, so I relayed all the information that was missed and we started cleaning up the check-in area.
