Sunday 10/29/23 Journal Entry

Today I had to work a lacrosse camp schedule that was scheduled originally at 8 a.m. It then got switched to 6:45 a.m. with multiple check-ins for the teams due to the game schedule that was made for the camp. I did not have to gather materials for the camp as I was working with one of my supervisors. It had been raining all morning so it was hesitant about whether the camp would be moving indoors. Upon arrival at the camp, the decision was made to have it outside. We prepared as best we could for the rain if it were to start again, and started check-in. During the middle of check-in, the rain was becoming more aggressive so we had to move everything under the bleachers to stay some what dry. Throughout the check-in, we had to collect waivers from participants due to our system not sending waivers to the participants or us not receiving them after the parents said they had filled them out. We then had the trainers working the camp look over the waivers if they had anything alarming. We also had a few walk-up registrations due to coaches having last-minute roster changes for the camp. There were also college recruiters in attendance, so we had to give them information packets as well as directions for the next steps. I only worked the first half of the check-in, so I filled in those who were taking over and left for the day.
