Sunday 2/25/24 Journal Entry

Today I signed up to work the lil spikers women’s volleyball camp series. I did not have to pick up any materials for the camp as my supervisor was working the camp as well, so he already had the materials. When I arrived at the camp, I met up with my supervisor and he gave me a rundown of how the camp was going to flow. There were close to 200 campers for the series, so we had the athletic trainers help out with check-in when they were done going through the waivers. Before check-in officially started, I went through the emails to check to see if any would not be attending for the first series while my supervisor was communicating with the director of operations for the volleyball team. We then started check-in and had the participants move down a line to get their assigned team along with their camp shirts. The check-in lasted for about 30 minutes, I then stayed behind an extra 30 minutes to check in with anyone who had been running late. After checking in those who had been running late, I cleaned up all the camp materials and checked with the director of operations to see if they needed anything else from me before I left. I then took the materials back to the office after the camp so I did not have to take them back in the morning. I also checked in with my supervisor about how the remainder of the camp went.
