Sunday 3/3/24 Journal Entry

Today I signed up to work one of the series camps for the lil spikers women's volleyball series. I was the lead for today, so I had to pick up the materials for the camp. The materials were only tablecloths and iPads as the trainers had all waivers for those who signed up for the series. Once I arrived at the facility, I set up the tables and got the iPads set up with all the applications that were needed for check-in. I then met with the director of operations to see if they needed help with anything outside of check-in and how they wanted the check-in to run. Since the majority of the participants had been to the first camp of the series, there were not very many new participants to check-in. The way the age groups were broken up was by color and age, so while we were not checking in we helped the campers with their nametags and gave them their group color if they had forgotten it. The check-in went fairly smoothly, we had some issues with the parents being able to park due to confusion about whether they had to pay or not due to an event on campus. Many parents tried to pay, but the zone number that was given was not working for some parents, so we helped them as much as we could and said if it still was not working to not worry as the lot they parked in was blocked off for the event so it would not be checked. I stayed about 20 minutes after the camp start time to check in any late campers or any new campers as well. I then cleaned up the check-in area and returned the materials to the office.
