I had to work the Wrestling Coaches Clinic today as working check-ins is part of my internship experience. Coaches' clinics are different compared to other camps. No waivers are needed for the camp, no trainers are needed for the camp, vendors have credentials to pick up, and coaches pick up information folders as well as credentials. Before the clinic started I came in a few hours before to finish making any last-minute credentials and signage for the clinic. The clinic took place at the Covelli Center, we also did not have to bring our normal setup as we did our check-in at the ticket office on Covelli. We had sections of the alphabet at different windows to make handing folders and credentials out a smoother process. We also had a window dedicated to walk-up registrations, parking issues, and invoices for coaches. We had many schools that had to pay at the time of the clinic due to late registration and not being able to send payment by mail. We also had to check in speakers for the events and any officials for the wrestle-offs that were being hosted. Check-in lasted about 4 hours total due to the wide check-in time slot scheduled for arrival. We did not have to call any coaches due to there being a two-day check-in for the event.
