Wednesday 11/8/23 Journal Entry

I started my day by answering emails and listening to the voicemails that had been left by any parents or guardians regarding any upcoming camps. There was only one voicemail regarding confirmation for a camp that they registered for as they were trying to make travel arrangements for the camp already. I also had some campers, as well as parents, reach out about getting tours of the athletic facilities along with campus. There were also questions about recruiting and how to get recruited. Since this is the camps and clinics department, we cannot associate or answer any questions regarding recruiting and have to direct them to the correct source if they want to be looked at. It is against NCAA rules for us to have any association with recruiting. I also had some refund issues come up as well due to coaches or parents not signing the agreement for a refund that was sent to them. I had to communicate with the person in charge of refunds of the situations as they arose. We also got a few phone calls regarding the gymnastics camp that was being hosted later in the week to confirm times and that they had signed up for the correct time spot. I continued to monitor the emails and answer phone calls throughout the remainder of my shift. I checked in with my supervisor before leaving for the day to see if they needed anything else from me before I left.
