Wednesday 12/27/23 Journal Entry

I started my shift out per usual by responding to emails and listening to any voicemails that had been left over the past few days. Due to it still falling under the holidays, there were not a ton of emails that were sent in. There were also no voicemails to listen to when I came in. The few emails we did have, were in relation to the spirit club membership in regard to pictures that were taken earlier in the year and them not being sent out as well as other events that were advertised within the spirit club membership guidelines. Other emails that we received were in regards to the lacrosse camp that had been moved due to a recruiting dead period. We had to keep track of those still attending and those who opted to have a refund since they were not able to attend. We did have some complaints when it came to the date change by parents because they wanted their camper to have the opportunity to be recruited. Due to the NCAA's extension of not having contact with any potential recruits, they did not have the opportunity. Many also wanted to be compensated for travel when once again that is not allowed due to NCAA rules and regulations. I continued to monitor the emails throughout the day which included how to receive a refund and summer dates for camps. We did not receive any calls due to it falling under the holidays once again.
