Wednesday 12/6/23 Journal Entry

When I arrived in the office, I logged into the computer and pulled up all necessary tabs needed to complete my work. I checked the emails first as well as any voicemails that had been left. There were no voicemails left from the day before. There were also only a few emails to start the morning out. We had a few parents concerned about their refund status. With some investigating, it turned out that they missed the signing time frame for the refund paperwork, so I made a note and forwarded the email to the person in charge of refunds. Once it got resent to her, I emailed her to let her know to sign it as soon as she got it that way the process would go quicker for her. After answering the emails from the morning, I had to send reports of post-camp survey results to the coaches as they have comments on them that help them improve their camp experience and make any changes necessary as well. Once I was done with that, we also had a situation regarding a refund and an upset parent. She was frustrated that her refund was not given right away and I assured her that it would be reviewed within the next few days due to the high volume we get on a daily basis. She was threatening to dispute the charges with her credit card company because we were not moving at the pace she would have liked. It got reviewed and denied and she was not happy as she said she had a justified reason. She however did not put that reason on the refund request form and that is why it got denied. She then said she was disputing the charges and did not want to argue with us anymore, yet we were just giving her information about why and how the refund process worked.
