Wednesday 2/14/24 Journal Entry

I started my office shift by looking at emails from the day before and this morning along with voicemails. We had a voicemail from a parent who was asking for information regarding camp dates and what would be most appropriate for their child. I had called them back and gave them the information that they needed along with pricing and when dates would be available for registration. When going through the emails, we had a few parents reach out to cancel their registration for camps coming up this week. Since it was the week of, the only way to receive a refund is if the camper has an illness, injury, or mandatory school event. We make it known to the parents about the policy as some tend to fight back or argue about the refund policy. We also had an unusual request for a camper to be changed from an overnight to a commuter status. Typically the camper will change their mind about wanting to commute and end up staying overnight on campus. I had to ask my supervisor how they wanted to refund the money and do the transfer because we do not do it often. We had to end up just refunding the card through our system to keep track of the money. We then transferred the camper and ensured the parent would be refunded. I then sorted the waivers for the spirit performance and made sure that none were missing. I continued to monitor the email and take calls until the end of my shift.
