Wednesday 2/28/24 Journal Entry

I started my office shift per usual by checking our emails and voicemails that had been left in the previous days. We did not have any voicemail messages, so I had started going through the emails. We did not have a ton of emails that had not been answered yet, which is unusual as the emails start picking up around this time of year. We had a few requests for camp date changes as some people had conflicts arise with the date that had originally signed up for. Typically we cannot transfer a camper into another camp unless the price is the same and it is approved by my supervisor. Since these requests we received were for the same priced camps, we let them know that we could transfer them and that they would be receiving new paperwork to fill out for the camp. We also had a few coaches reach out for more information on our wrestling camps. They were asking about our competition camp and if it basically took the place of our team camp along with asking how the camp dynamic would be and what the fees were for coaches. Since you can sign a team up for this camp, the campers have to register individually and then if the school wants to pay, they send a check and we refund the parents for the camp fees, and coaches get a pro-rated fee as they are not fully participating in the camp. I communicated with my supervisor about the fees and making sure I was giving out the correct prices and ensuring I was giving correct information on how the team would register. I continued to monitor the emails and receive phone calls throughout the remainder of my shift.
