Wednesday 9/13 Journal Entry

Today I had worked another office shift, as it is one of the requirements of my internship. The phone was still not active as we have had a remodel being done to the internship section of our floor. The setup for the new space had been completed, but none of the actual computers or phones had been connected yet. So, we had to work from our laptops in the new area or we could work in the conference room still. I worked in the conference room for the first half of my shift as I was the only intern in the camp's department. I answered emails and passed along important messages that were left to our supervisor so he could make the calls to those who needed information quickly. Throughout the day, emails came in and were taken care of within minutes. It tends to be slower in the fall and winter and not as many sports are having camps due to them being in season. The camps that we had to prepare for the weekend were softball and baseball camps. Waivers needed to be sorted out and organized for the athletic trainers to review, It also gives us a chance to review the waivers and reach out to those who are missing their waivers. We then organized the bins that were needed for the camps. After the bins were organized, we recapped what needed to be done for the camps this week, as I was working a check-in for the baseball camp. I then answered a few more emails before leaving for the day.
