Wednesday 9/20/23 Journal Entry

Wednesday has become one of my scheduled office days for the week. I answered some emails and listened to some voicemail messages when I first arrived. Our phone still is not hooked up in our office space, so I had to relay any important information over to my supervisor who then would reach out to those who needed a callback from the camps department. I monitored the emails throughout the day. I then got assigned a project to do that was similar to one I had completed before. I had to pull a report of all camps held for the academic year and report the attendance and number of camps held by athletics. I had to go through 6 years of reports and collect all the information that was asked. Once the reports were done, I uploaded them to teams for the rest of the staff to see. They could also make changes to the Excel sheet if needed. By the time I was finished with the reports, I had to eat my dinner and prepare for a baseball camp check-in. I gathered the extra waivers for any participants who did not have theirs completed, completed waivers for the trainer, and a credit card machine in case of walk-ups. Once I arrived at the baseball field, I met with the coach about the attendance for the camp and how many were expected to show up. I also communicated with the athletic trainer who had been assigned to the camp about waivers and if they needed anything from me. Since it is a reoccurring camp, many have been checked in already. I had a handful of participants that I had to review and check in for the camp. Once check-in was complete I checked in with the coach to see if he needed anything else from me before I left. I then communicated with my supervisors about the camp and how it went overall.
